In the past, the TWI Summit and the Kata Summit were held as two separate events—each bringing valuable learning and inspiration to leaders, coaches, and continuous improvement practitioners.

This year, we’re bringing them together into one powerful experience: the TWI + Kata Summit.

TWI Programs (Training Within Industry) address some of the most common challenges in lean organizations through applying fundamental Skills. The Summit highlights companies who are addressing these challenges through TWI’s Job Instruction, Job Methods, and Job Relations programs which impacted Toyota in its formative stages.

KATA (Improvement Kata and Coaching Kata) addresses common challenges in organizations by practicing routines of coaching and scientific thinking to make the continuous improvement process teachable.  Most recently the KATA community has become passionate about connection, collaboration and giving back.  Learning together rather than in isolation.
