Intro to Lean Management Accounting WITH Nick Katko

Half Day Workshop

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Witness the skillset needed for ‘Lean’ WITH Oscar Roche

Half Day PM Workshop - The problem can often be that people see ‘Lean’ as an endpoint – not the ‘excursion with intent’ that it actually is. For that excursion to be a successful one, there are some fundamental skills required throughout the organisation, especially at the front line. Perhaps the most important is the skill of developing trust and that flows from the top. Trust is not easily won and can be lost in a moment, but there are very reliable patterns that can be practiced that build trust. Then there is the skill of thinking scientifically. It’s a discipline that doesn’t come naturally but is very ‘developable’ through deliberate practice. Frontline leaders will need the skill of instructing to counteract the problem/risk of ‘don’t know, can’t do’. Again, this is developable through a practice pattern. Attend this workshop - witness experience and start your practice of each.

Lean into Wellness WITH Stefan Martiyan

Half Day AM Workshop - Wellness is increasingly important given the rise of mental and physical health issues since COVID started. Applying lean to wellness can help people combat what’s going on right now and during the pandemic, and it can help people achieve a big wellness goal that may even seem out of reach.

The Future of Lean Cultures Lies in Respect for Individuals WITH Cheryl Jekiel

Half Day Workshop - The Lean Model has had a profound effect on many organizations. But what differentiates the spectacular organizations is the obvious feeling of joy people have at work. You can literally feel the alignment between individual purpose and meaning with the achievement of the organizational goals. People are led with vision, humility and a deep sense of respect for every individual. In the first section we will explore how to create self-reliant individuals by combining their own strengths and aspirations with those of the organization. The second section will then explore how individuals’ work lives flow within defined areas, such as: opportunities to learn, community inclusion and mental/physical wellbeing. The third and fourth sections will focus on the roles of human resources and leaders respectively in fostering an environment where people do their best work. In this highly interactive workshop, you’ll practice a proven performance improvement system that’s based on Lean cultures. You’ll leave with practical strategies that you can use to enable your people to maximize their potential.
