Practicing Lean in the Accounting Function
About this workshop
Accounting department processes are well designed to run smoothly and quite stable, yet ine4fficiencies can occur. Processes should be designed in ways that are easy for everyone in the process to follow, not just the accounting department. Processes may not be executed properly and necessary information mat not be available when needed. From a Lean viewpoint, all of these inefficiencies are considered waste and lead to underutilization of a company’s most important asset – its people.
Lean practices can be used in the accounting department to reveal the waste and teach people how to permanently eliminate these inefficiencies. The result is improved productivity, improved quality and faster processing times.
