Jamie has been a Contributing Editor for IndustryWeek and columnist for Assembly Magazine. Jamie obtained two Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Michigan, an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and attained his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University, where he has served in numerous volunteer capacities. He currently resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with his wife and 3 children.

Shino Hiiragi completed her doctoral program in Business Administration and Computer Science at the Aichi Institute of Technology, Graduate School of Business Administration and Computer Science in 2009. Dr. Hiiragi joined Aichi Institute of Technology as an Associate Professor in 2018 and became Professor in 2020; after working as a Project Research Associate at the Manufacturing Management Research Center at The University of Tokyo and as an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Yamagata University. She also works as a part-time researcher at OJT Solutions Co. Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation.
Her principal area of research is manufacturing accounting, Gemba Kaizen Costing (GKC). She has contributed in papers like, “Management of Service Industries in Japan” (World Scientific), “Management of the Enterprise Crisis” (World Scientific). Dr. Hiiragi has also contributed to “GKC as Gemba Kaizen Costing: Visualizing Kaizen Effect,” Melco Management Accounting Research Discussion Paper Series No. MDP2017-008 (in English), which she co-authored with Dr. Kazusa. She and Dr. Kazusa are now planning to publish her papers related to Kaizen and Accounting (written in Japanese), in English.

Anne is a change agent who enjoys seeing teams realize the potential they have when they remove the waste in the way of their work. Anne is the Senior Lean Operations Manager for the Reference Labs at IDEXX, a global organization headquartered in Westbrook, Maine. She oversees a team of Lean Leaders who work directly with leadership and front-line teams in their North American Reference Labs to instill a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement. Over the last two years the team has helped the labs standardize workflows and processes in their more manual departments and spread the standards across 15 North American labs. Anne joined IDEXX in March 2017 as the Operations Lean Leader and moved into her current role in January 2018. She has a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota.

Dave Harry, a.k.a. “The Process Whisperer®”, has more than 30 years’ experience as a project manager, business process improvement instructor and expert problem solver. Following his military career, Dave taught hundreds of Lean and Six Sigma “Belt” and project management classes for various companies including KPMG Consulting, Northrop Grumman, Rolls-Royce Energy, the University of Tennessee, Training Modernization Group (TMG), and SimpliLearn.
