Jamie Flinchbaugh is an accomplished Entrepreneur, Senior Executive, Consultant, and Board Member with 30 years of learning-oriented experience spanning a range of roles across exceptionally diverse industries and functions. Leveraging extensive operational, strategic, and consulting experience, Jamie is an invaluable asset for any company seeking to build culture, capability, leadership, and their overall operating system. As the founder of JFlinch, Jamie provides this support as a board member, advisor, coach, and speaker. 

Throughout his career, Jamie has held leadership positions with JFlinch (Founder), Qorvo (Executive), Old Dutch Group LLC (Founder), Lean Learning Center (Co-Founder), Rev! Motorcycles (Co-Founder), DTE Energy (Change Agent), and Chrysler (Operational Leader). As the Founder of JFlinch, Jamie helps teams accelerate their journey by solving their challenging problems and providing the resources, education, and tools needed to make lean leaders successful. Through Old Dutch Group, Jamie invests in organizations ranging from traditional manufacturing to startups and real estate. He recently served 3 years as the Corporate Vice President (part-time) of Qorvo’s Lean Journey.

During his 15 years as Co-Founder, with Andy Carlino and Dennis Pawley, of the Lean Learning Center, Jamie built the organization to become one of the premium providers of lean transformation and advisory services, with their educational programs earning the highest marks. In 2006, he co-authored the lean bestseller, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Lean: Lessons from the Road, and he has worked with over 300 clients spanning manufacturing, healthcare, utilities, technology, government, and professional services, including Harley-Davidson, Intel, Mars, Amazon, Crayola, Fidelity, Whirlpool, among others.

Over the last 20+ years, Jamie has helped build nearly 20 companies as a co-founder, board member, advisor, or angel investor, including co-founding the Lehigh Valley Angel Investors and acting as the initial Investment Chair. Jamie is a board member of Robinson Fans, and is a former board member of York Container Company, Orion Fleet Intelligence, S&S Cycle, PA Rush Soccer, and previously chaired the Board of Advisors for the Pawley Lean Institute at Oakland University. Jamie has been a Contributing Editor for IndustryWeek and columnist for Assembly Magazine. Jamie obtained two Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Michigan, an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and attained his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University, where he has served in numerous volunteer capacities. He currently resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with his wife and 3 children.

Ben Hoseus partners with individuals, organizations, and enterprises on the journey of continuous improvement. Ben currently serves as the COO of Orchestra Systems, and his prior years of experience as a lean practitioner and advisor have provided him the opportunity to lead projects, facilitate executive training, and improve systems & processes in client engagements across the globe. Ben grew up in the mold of People Development as part of the Toyota Production System, and he has since found his passion learning, teaching, and applying principles of problem-solving, collaboration, and servant leadership.


Ben loves a good challenge, and, outside of work, he can be found studying, supporting organizations as an advisor, or fitting in time to train for obstacle races and visit family in the US and South Africa with his wife, Jess.

Dorsey Sherman is the Founder and Principal of Modèle Consulting. She teaches and coaches organizations to reach their full potential by practicing scientific thinking and strategy deployment.

With over fifteen years of Lean and continuous improvement experience, Dorsey has worked across a wide spectrum of environments including manufacturing, non-profit agencies, hospitals, acute rehab units, physician offices, and behavioral health settings. Dorsey has amassed thousands of hours of coaching, teaching and facilitating staff, middle-managers and executives Lean methodology including A3, kaizen events, and strategy deployment.

Her expertise is in Toyota Kata – a deliberate practice routine to learn scientific thinking. She is a regular contributor to the Michigan Lean Consortium and Lean Frontiers’ workshops, conferences and webinars, and the co-host of KataCon 6 in Austin, TX. She is midway through a Leadership Coaching program at Case Western Reserve University.

As an author, consultant and international speaker, Steve has been helping companies improve cost and performance management for over 30 years. He is the co-author of Future Ready: How to Master Business Forecasting and Beyond Performance Management as well as five other books. Steve interviews CFOs for the website discussing innovative finance and planning processes. Introduced to LEAN in 2000 when I worked on the original LEAN case for EATON Corp at the University of Tennessee.

Implemented LEAN accounting in various divisions of EATON Corp, Johnson Controls Corp and SL Power Corp.

Hugh Alley

Hugh is a Vancouver-Canada based industrial engineer and author. He helps companies achieve significant operational goals over 3-6 months while using the initiatives as a way to develop the skills of their front-line leaders.

He has spent his career improving operational processes, mostly in manufacturing He has run three different manufacturing firms and several distribution centres. He has also spent five years as a manager in the public sector.

Recent projects have reduced client wait times by 45% in 13 weeks, reduced plant rework 85% in 20 weeks, and proved out changes to increase production by over 60% in just six weeks. Hugh has trained almost 1,000 front line leaders, primarily using the Training Within Industry approach.

A frequent speaker and writer, his book, Becoming the Supervisor: Achieving Your Company’s Mission and Building Your Team, focuses on developing the five core skills every front line leader needs to do their job.

Greg Williams

Greg worked in the oil & gas industry for 37 years, retiring from Aera Energy LLC as Lean Director in December 2016.  He’s had the opportunity to work closely with many of the great Lean thought leaders over the past 20 years. 

He has also been very active as a volunteer for Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) for nearly 20 years.  After retiring from Aera, Greg started his international consulting business, Western Sensei Consulting.  Both at Aera and through his consulting, Greg has coached several CEO’s and many other executives and managers.  He has also received very valuable coaching from many of the well-known Lean thought leaders over the years.

After graduating with a BBA in Accounting from Sam Houston State University, Staci Winkler Wenske began her career as a sales tax audit. Throughout the years, she acquired valuable experience from the private, retail, and government sector s with responsibilities in audit, tax, expense management and government compliance. Her vast accounting knowledge led her to a position at Kaspar Companies as a Financial Accountant where she has been responsible for preparing financial statements for all its subsidiaries and Board of Directors for the past 7 years.

Jill Opela graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston with a BBA in Accounting. After 23 years as the senior accountant for Kaspar Companies.  Jill was promoted to Director of Kaspar Business Systems, which seeks to achieve the success of the overall business strategy through the connection of all its subsidiaries and support functions. She enjoys taking an active role in the development of the team and helping others establish goals that align with their strengths and interests for the overall success of the company.


Sam Yankelevitch

Sam is the CEO of Xpress Lingo Solutions, helping organizations and their leaders align their teams to meet or exceed strategic goals. He does this by guiding teams on how to visualize the cause and effect relationship between communication, culture and strategy and by establishing effective daily work practices.

As an author, team facilitator and international speaker, Sam’s expertise is focused on the problems organizations and their leaders are experiencing in the increasing complexity of the 21st century.

To help get his message out, Sam has published: Walking the Invisible Gemba, Lean Communication, Global Lean and Lean Potion #9- Communication, the next lean frontier.

Billy Ingram is an innovator in social responsibility, sustainability, and new business model creation. He strives to build more sustainable business models through the practical application of innovation frameworks, improvement methodologies and socially responsible engagement practices. Billy earned a B.S. in Business Management and an MBA from Troy University.

He is a Lean Six Sigma practitioner with over 25 years of experience and is passionate about applying these principles in a socially responsible manner in organizations. Between 2016 and 2020 Billy collaborated with the Sherpa Sustainability Institute to develop three new certifications using the CISR SOFAIR methodology, which is an exciting evolution of in the application Lean Six Sigma DMAIC. Most recently he has developed a virtual white belt webinar series introducing senior leaders and practitioners to this unique and emerging perspective which accelerates individual engagement, innovation, and the adoption of Lean Six Sigma principles.

Jeff Welch

Jeff Welch is an accomplished corporate trainer, leadership coach, writer, and public speaker with over 20 years of experience in the Learning and Development space.  He has delivered training workshops, seminars, and keynote speeches for clients in the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Caribbean.

He specializes in facilitating instructor-led and virtual training courses which focus on professional development skills and train-the-trainer programming.

Jeff’s training programs and speeches are well-researched and delivered in a down-to-earth, yet high energy style.  Jeff utilizes storytelling techniques and incorporates various “pearls of wisdom” from his grandmother. 

A proud alumnus of Western Kentucky University, Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism and Speech Communications.  He also possesses numerous training certifications in the disciplines of facilitation, instructional design, and human performance consulting.

Jeff is President of his own consulting group, JW Training Events, LLC.  A life-long Southerner, Jeff was raised in Owensboro, Kentucky and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.  He loves to cook, travel, and read historical markers while on road trips.

Shino Hiiragi completed her doctoral program in Business Administration and Computer Science at the Aichi Institute of Technology, Graduate School of Business Administration and Computer Science in 2009. Dr. Hiiragi joined Aichi Institute of Technology as an Associate Professor in 2018 and became Professor in 2020; after working as a Project Research Associate at the Manufacturing Management Research Center at The University of Tokyo and as an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Yamagata University. She also works as a part-time researcher at OJT Solutions Co. Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation.

Her principal area of research is manufacturing accounting, Gemba Kaizen Costing (GKC). She has contributed in papers like, “Management of Service Industries in Japan” (World Scientific), “Management of the Enterprise Crisis” (World Scientific). Dr. Hiiragi has also contributed to “GKC as Gemba Kaizen Costing: Visualizing Kaizen Effect,” Melco Management Accounting Research Discussion Paper Series No. MDP2017-008 (in English), which she co-authored with Dr. Kazusa. She and Dr. Kazusa are now planning to publish her papers related to Kaizen and Accounting (written in Japanese), in English.

Anne Frewin

About the Facilitator

Anne is a change agent who enjoys seeing teams realize the potential they have when they remove the waste in the way of their work.   Anne is the Senior Lean Operations Manager for the Reference Labs at IDEXX, a global organization headquartered in Westbrook, Maine.  She oversees a team of Lean Leaders who work directly with leadership and front-line teams in their North American Reference Labs to instill a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.   Over the last two years the team has helped the labs standardize workflows and processes in their more manual departments and spread the standards across 15 North American labs.   Anne joined IDEXX in March 2017 as the Operations Lean Leader and moved into her current role in January 2018.  She has a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota.

Utilizing experience with metrics and the balance scorecard, Gary earned the 2006 financial executive of the year award from Robert Half International and Institute of Management Accountants. Gary has been a featured speaker at more than 170 professional annual conferences and lean workshops at over 45 universities with over 7,000 professional and university attendees. He is on the editorial board and is contributing editor for the journal of Cost Management with 20 published papers on lean and accounting along with a business column started in 2019. He recently joined MPlus, a team of professionals to assist individuals and organizations with mindset and system thinking along with coaching to produce a learning organization, and Ricardo Defense in program controls for accounting, compliance, and lean manufacturing services.

Dave Harry

Dave Harry, a.k.a. “The Process Whisperer®”, has more than 30 years’ experience as a project manager, business process improvement instructor and expert problem solver.  Following his military career, Dave taught hundreds of Lean and Six Sigma “Belt” and project management classes for various companies including KPMG Consulting, Northrop Grumman, Rolls-Royce Energy, the University of Tennessee, Training Modernization Group (TMG), and SimpliLearn.  He was a Northrop Grumman IV&V Software Engineer, Expert LSS Trainer.  He was later the Manager of Continuous Improvement at Rolls-Royce Energy.  Dave is a retired U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, International Agreements Negotiator, and a U.S. Defense Attaché.  He is also a Black Belt trainer and CEO of Process Whisperer® Consultants LLC in Greeneville, TN.  Dave is also a Kata “Geek” and attended all seven Lean Frontiers Toyota Kata Conferences and participated/presented in many specialized Lean Conferences.
