About the Facilitator:
Tamara is currently a business unit controller at Daktronics, Inc., in Brookings, SD. Her responsibilities also include financial planning and analysis, credit management, and mergers and acquisitions. Over the last 12 years at Daktronics, Tamara has worked with a variety of levels of management within a continuous improvement environment. Her time at this world-leading international manufacturer has also included projects in the areas of implementing rolling forecasting, five-day financial close, sales and operations planning, international acquisitions, and the development of a corporate-wide credit policy. Prior to her employment with this publicly traded LED sign manufacturer, Tamara worked in public accounting for two regional firms. Her time in public accounting culminated in her serving as audit partner. Tamara holds degrees in business and accounting and earned her MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She is a licensed CPA in both South Dakota and Minnesota. Tamara is a past presenter at regional and national IMA conferences as well as a past Lean Leadership presenter.
